Orientation and Registration

Orientation

Students new to Taylor Business Institute begin their educational experience with a student orientation where they are introduced to faculty and staff and provided an overview of the college’s programs, expectations, policies and procedures. Students also explore and discuss attitudes associated with getting the most out of their educational experience.

Please refer to the academic calendar for information regarding upcoming orientations.

Students are advised to arrive at 9:00 a.m. on the day of orientation and check-in in the front lobby on the 5th floor. They will be ushered to the Library for placement testing which may take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Testing is followed by orientation which usually takes up to two (2) hours. Students after completing the orientation are; 1) advised of their admission status and course placement based on scores achieved on the placement tests, 2) registered for their respective classes, 3) provided a student ID badge and 4) registered for a student account.
