Basic understanding of primary and secondary use of health care documentation and data. Emphasis will be placed on proper use and utilization of medical documentation requirements of various providers and disciplines to support organizational, regulatory and accreditation standards. Data management practices that ensure the accuracy and integrity of health data are analyzed. Students will gain hands-on experience on managing health records and clinical information through EhrGo.
