International Student Assistance

Taylor Business Institute is home to students from over 35 countries worldwide and understands that it can sometimes be difficult to adjust to the American Lifestyle when you are new to the country. TBI makes  every effort to ensure our students are well taken care of by providing a variety of support. 

Financial Assistance

For International Students

Some international students may be eligible for Title IV student aid programs. 

Generally, Title IV eligibility is restricted to students whose immigration status places them in one or more of the following categories:

  • U.S. National
  • U.S. legal permanent resident card or registered alien (must possess an I-151 or I-551 card)
  • Permanent resident of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands
  • Permanent resident of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

However, students who do not meet the above criteria may be eligible if they can present one of the following documents from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS):

  • I-94 (Arrival-Departure Record) with an appropriate endorsement
  • Official documentation that the student has been granted asylum in the U.S.
  • Other proof from USCIS that the student is in the U.S. for other than a temporary purpose

Students who believe they may be eligible for such aid should contact the Director of Financial Aid for further information.

Student Housing

Taylor Business Institute does not maintain on-campus housing.  International staff will assist students in locating available off-campus housing, but students must make their own housing arrangements.

Parking

Taylor Business Institute, through its partnership with the Parking Garage at 20 E. Randolph, provides discounted parking. The parking is available 24 hours with 24hour security. For details please see the receptionist at Taylor Business’s Institute’s front desk.

COVID-19 Assistance

Food/groceries, medicines, masks

Taylor Business Institute (TBI) is partnering with Level Playing Field (LPF) to help its students, faculty, and staff impacted by the COVID-19 virus.
Level Playing Field, in conjunction with partnering organizations, will provide assistance for food, medications and other essentials. Reusable masks are also available.
